In this post, the focus will be on the latter. Native Americans have always lived in harmony with nature and valued the importance of nature (Zhang & Wang, 2015, 2632). They have also developed their own traditions that are followed, and Love Medicine depicts them well. Firstly, the land is sacred to the Native Americans, that is, no one can own the land. Some of Chekhov's short stories contain environmental criticism – there is not much of it, but it is recognizable enough to write about. I would like to tell you about one of those short stories. The short story is called “A Doctor's Visit” and it was written in 1898. The plot is simple: a doctor by the name of Korolyov is asked to visit a factory near Moscow by one female industrialist, the owner of the factory. Her daughter had a heartbeat problem the night before, and the family was afraid for her. Korolyov arrives at the factory by the evening; the time of the year is spring. In this blog entry, I’d like to focus the attention on environmental art. Environmental art is a very broad term that includes a number of different practices and movement. Land art, Earth art, Sustainable art, Conceptual art – these are just a few examples of environmental art. Hence, technique, media and style varies as well. As a movement, environmental art emerged in the 1960s, when famous individuals such as Nils Udo, Jean-Max Albert and Piotr Kowalski paved the way for this form of art.
